Biscoff, Bone Broth Caramel Slice
Oh this slice is naughty, naughty, naughty… with a little bit of nice stirred through.
Ingredients
Biscoff Base
1 Packet Biscoff Biscuits
180grams melted butter
Bone Broth Caramel Filling
200grams butter
1 tin of sweetened condensed milk
4 tbs golden syrup
3/4 tbs Just Bones Wholesome Bones Bone Broth
3tbs coconut sugar
Chocolate Layer
Chocolate ( we used 125grams of milk and 125grams of dark)
2 tbs melted Biscoff
Method
Biscuit 'Shortbread' Base
- Blend the Biscoff biscuits in a food processor (we used our Ninja) to a small crumb. Tip into a bowl, add the melted butter, stir well.
- Tip the biscuits into a lined tray and press down well. Refrigerate until you need it again.
Homemade Bone Broth Caramel
- In a large saucepan add the condensed milk, butter, coconut sugar, bone broth and golden syrup and melt on a medium heat until the sugar has dissolved – stir frequently to stop anything from catching.
- The mixture will be ready when it has changed to a slightly golden colour and has thickened to a soft fudge texture… YUMMY!
- Pour the caramel onto the biscuit base and pop into the fridge to cool.
Chocolate Biscoff Layer
- Melt your milk chocolate down carefully in the microwave. Do this in intervals of 15 seconds, stirring each time to avoid burning your chocolate.
- Melt the Biscoff spread in a seperate bowl for 30-40 seconds so that it is pourable.
- Spread the chocolate mixer your cooled slice shaking your tray for even, level coverage.
- Add the melted Biscoff and use a knife to pattern the top- chef’s prerogative for the pattern!
- Set in the fridge (2 hours). Slice and ENJOY!
